Final Mock Draft

 

First Round

1. New Orleans-Zion Williamson PF, Duke New Orleans will shift their focus to building around Williamson. It will be interesting to see what kind of players they put around him
2. Memphis-Ja Morant PG, Murray State The Grizzlies seem poised to tab Morant as their point guard of the future. This also likely means they look to deal incumbant point guard Mike Conley.
3. New York-R.J. Barrett SG/SF, Duke Barrett would be a good fit for the Knicks here. However the Knicks are rumored to be interested in possibly trading this pick for Anthony Davis.
4. L.A. Lakers-Darius Garland PG, Vanderbilt This pick will be heading to New Orleans. It looks more like Darius Garland could be the fourth guy in this draft. Whether the Pelicans pick him here or they make another trade, Garland looks to be trending as the pick here.
5. Cleveland-Jarrett Culver SG, Texas Tech I think Culver is a good fit here for Cleveland. he fills a need at wing and could be a nice compliment with second year player Collin Sexton.
6. Phoenix-DeAndre Hunter SF, Virginia The Suns are desperate for a point guard and will target Garland. However, if he isn’t available I feel they could go in a different direction and take Hunter here.
7. Chicago-Coby White PG, North Carolina The Bulls are in desperate need of an upgrade at the point guard spot. I think they would prefer Garland but I hear they are also intriqued with White.
8. Atlanta-Cam Reddish SF, Duke I think the Hawks would be ecstatic if Reddish fell here. Reddish could flourish with the fast paced style in Atlanta.
9. Washington-Bol Bol C, Oregon I think the Wizards look to blow it up this off-season. If Bol can prove to be healthy, this could wind up being a steal here.
10. Atlanta(from Dallas)-Brandon Clarke SF/PF, Gonzaga A versatile forward who would thrive in Atlanta. His athleticism and defensive ability will serve well in the NBA.
11. Minnesota-Sekou Doumboya SF, France I am not sure the Wolves will want to take a project, but this kid could be worth it.
12. Charlotte-Jaxson Hayes C, Texas Hayes is a gifted defender who should be good switching on defense at the next level. His offensive game is very raw or he could potentially go higher.
13. Miami-PJ Washington PF, Kentucky This could be a little high for Washington, but his stock seems to be on the rise. He should be a good fit for Miami as they look to shore up their front line.
14. Boston(from Sacramento)-Goga Bitadze C, Republic of Georgia With three first round picks, the Celtics can take a chance of Bitadze here. He has moved up many boards and could be a contributor sooner rather than later.
15. Detroit-Nickeill Alexander-Walker PG/SG, Virginia Tech The Pistons need help in the back court. Alexander-Walker is kind of a jack of all trades. He is a good defender and has shown the ability to run an offense. Once his shot gets more consistant, he could be a big time rotation player in Detroit.
16. Orlando-Nassir Little SF, North Carolina His stock took a hit during the season, but seems to be back on the rise after some good workouts. Little is a bruiser who needs to work on his perimeter game and help defense.
17. Brooklyn-Daniel Gafford C, Arkansas The Nets will be making this pick for Atlanta as their trade with Brooklyn cannot be finished until July 6th. If the Hawks do not take a big man with either of their first two selections, they will likely take one here.
18. Indiana-Cam Johnson SF, North Carolina Johnson is a spot up shooter and would likely fit in rather nicely in Indiana.
19. San Antonio-Rui Hachimura PF, Gonzaga This just feels like a San Antionio pick here. Hachimura has a solid mid range game which is used a bunch in San Antonio.
20. Boston(from L.A. Clippers)-Tyler Herro SG, Kentucky The Celtics will look to add shooting to their lineup and Herro may be the best shooter in this draft.
21. Oklahoma City-Keldon Johnson SG, Kentucky Johnson didnt have monster numbers in his lone year at Kentucky. I think he is over looked in this draft and could be a major steal.
22. Boston-Romeo Langford SG, Indiana  Langford will be worth a flyer for Boston. He is a good finisher and his game is still developing. Could be a great value pick for the Celtics.
23. Utah-Louis King SF, Oregon He is long and has good size for an NBA three. His outside shot started to really come along late in the season. Once he learns to use his size to attack, he caould be a steal.
24. Philadelphia-Kevin Porter Jr, SG, USC Porter had a rocky freshman year at USC. He still could become a scorer that most believed he would be.
25. Portland-Matisse Thybulle SG/SF, Washington Defensively he is ready for the NBA. Offensively he is not. Portland could use some wing help and Thybulle would help guarding the wings at the next level.
26. Cleveland(from Houston)-Bruno Fernando C, Maryland The Cavs need some size to add to their roster. Late in the first, there should several options
27. Denver(from Brooklyn)-Grant Williams PF, Tennessee He is a touch undersized as a true four, however he has proven to be able to defend bigger players. Williams as a good chance to be an immediate rotation player.
28. Golden State-Ty Jerome PG, Virginia Jerome could be the solid tresreve guard the Warriors need. He can shoot from three and has been great running an offense. this might be the most perfect fit.
29. San Antonio(from Toronto)-Mfiondu Kabengele PF/C, Florida State The Spurs are going to have many chnges this off season. But i can see them definately going big late in the first.
30. Milwaukee-Nicolas Claxton C, Georgia The Bucks do not have a legit center outside of Brook Lopez. Claxton has been rising up boards and could become a solid rim protector.

2nd Round

1. Brooklyn(from New York)-Dylan Windler SG/SF, Belmont Windler has seen his stock rise and will be a hot commosity early in second round.
2. Phoenix-Naz Reid C, LSU I think the Suns could take a chance on Reid here.  They need some rebounding and Reid can also add depth behin Deandre Ayton.
3. Philadelphia(from Cleveland)-Carsen Edwards PG, Purdue Edwards would bring some much needed bench scoring to Philly. He is a good fit with the way this roster is constructed too. His off the ball ability will make him attractive to the Sixers.
4. Philadelphia(from Chicago)-Jontay Porter C, Missouri The Sixers have a history of gambling on players and Porter will be worth a look here. With multiple picks early in second round, this seems like a no brainer here.
5. Atlanta-Luka Simanic PF, Croatia The Hawks have a bunch of picks and should they keep them, they will take some draft and stash players.
6. Charlotte(from Washington)-Terrance Davis SG, Ole Miss Davis has watched his stock sky rocket where he could get sme first round looks. The Hornets have had success drafting in second round.
7. Dallas-Chuma Okeke SF, Auburn With the ACL tear in the NCAA tournament, his stock has fallen. I can see a team like Dallas taking him here and letting him sit a year.
8. Chicago(from Memphis)-Lu Dort SG, Arizona State The athletic Dort could be a steal for the Bulls here.
9. New Orleans-Ignas Brazdeikis SF, Michigan The Pelicans struggled to find consistency at the three last season and will look to address that at some point this draft.
10. Sacramento(from Minnesota)-Deividid Sirvydis SF, Lithuanua Would not surprise me to see the Kings grab a stash player here.
11. Atlanta(from LA Lakers)-Talen Horton-Tucker SG/SF, Iowa State Doesn’t really have a defined position. I think he is nothing more than a possible roitation player.
12. Philadelphia(from Sacramento)-Aubrey Dawkins SG, Central Florida Sixers are just stockpiling asstts at this point.
13. Minnesota(from Miami)-Tremont Waters PG, LSU The Wolves need depth at the point guard position as they could be thin there after free agency.
14. Atlanta(from Charlotte)-Shamorie Ponds PG, St. John’s Atlanta is weak at backup point guard and should target one here.
15. Detroit-KZ Okpala PF, Stanford Can be versatile and some think he is a first rounder. I however believe this is about where he will be drafted.
16. Orlando(from Brooklyn)-Deividis Sirvydas SF, Lithuania This is the part of the draft where you start to see the foreign players go.
17. Sacramento(from Orlando)-Simmi Shittu PF, Vanderbilt I think the Kings are in a position to gamble on him here. Somewhat of a project but could be a G League player until he’s ready.
18. L.A. Clippers-Jalen Lecque PG/SG, Brewster Academy I think the Clippers are a good landing spot for the young athletic Lecque.
19. San Antonio-Henri Drell SF, Estonia This is a likely spot for the Spurs to take a foreign player.
20. Indiana-Darius Bazley SF/PF, USA After sitting out a year, he is worth the gamble in the second round.
21. Boston-Kyle Guy SG, Virginia This a good spot for Boston to gran another shooter.
22. Charlotte(from Oklahoma City)-Mariol Shayok SG, Iowa State Another shooter who could excel in the G League.
23. Utah-Brian Bowen SG/SF, Sydney Kings Definitely worth the gamble at this pick.
24. Philadelphia-Tacko Fall C, Central Florida He could go higher but I think he definitely gets drafted in second round.
25. New York(from Houston)-Jalen McDaniels PF, San Diego State The Knicks take a chance on another raw player.
26. L.A. Clippers(from Portland)-Admiral Schofield SG/SF, Tennessee Big and physical player who I can see making a roster next season.
27. New Orleans(from Denver)-Jaylen Hoard SF, Wake Forest Under rated wing who has a chance to be a sleeper in the second round.
28. Golden State-Joshua Obesie PG, Gemany A gamble worth taking this late  in the draft.
29. Toronto-Isaiah Roby SF/PF, Nebraska The Raptors will draft him hoping he can be a two way player for them.
30. Sacramento(from Milwaukee)-Jaylen Hands PG, UCLA The Kings need depth at point guard. It may be a reach this late to get a consistent reserve.
